Tuba City Regional Health Care Corporation, a JCAHO accredited health center, provides services to a 4,400 square mile area and serves as a referral center for the western part of the Navajo and Hopi Reservations. The hospital was constructed in 1975 with a bed capacity of 73. Services provided to the community include comprehensive inpatient/outpatient emergency services, dental and ophthalmology services, orthopedics, OB/GYN, oral surgery, eye surgery and urological procedures. This position provides house/nursing supervision for the Division of Nursing Services and coordinates patient care activities and support activities to assure smooth hospital operation during weekend, evening, and night tours. Incumbent is responsible for assuring that adequate staff are available to meet patient care needs. Uses the patient acuity/staffing program to determine staffing requirements and patient care needs, redistributes personnel, recalls on-call staff, and approves leaves as indicated by the acuity system.
